It is a glossy sticker in your passport, showing that you meet the requirement to enter Canada. It includes the date by which you must arrive in Canada and the period you can stay in Canada is decided by other documents, such as a study permit, a work permit or a visitor record, or sometimes by the expiry of your passport. On June 3, 2011, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced its promotion of long-term, multiple-entry visas.
